Why name Planet Earth?

For example called 'terra' in Portuguese, 'dunya' in Turkish, or 'aarde' in Dutch. However, whatever the language, all words have the same meaning, namely: land.
Let's take an example, modern English call our planet 'Earth' and this is certainly no resemblance to the sound of the 'aarde' in Dutch, or 'Erde' in German. Because their ancestors came from the same family that is Anglo-Saxon (English-German) then all the words that mean 'ground'.

Just for the record, in old English, the earth is called 'EOR (th) e' or 'ertha'.
Well, how about the Indonesian language, why is it called 'earth'? The word 'earth' is taken from the Sanskrit: earth or bhumi, and even this word mean: land.

Well that's the reason why the name of our pelanet generally pelanet earth because we have the land is the source of life of every living thing that exist in this world.
